1. Define the buying decision
Every guide identifies a category and intended use. We aim to compare products for different needs, not mechanically rank every specification or make unsupported best-in-market claims.
2. Research the exact model
Manufacturer pages and manuals are starting points for specifications, compatibility and intended use. They are not independent proof of cleaning quality, comfort, reliability, clinical benefit or other performance. Where performance affects a recommendation, the editor should consult appropriate independent evidence and add the sources to the profile.
3. Make the judgement visible
Every assessment separates reasons to consider a product from trade-offs. The order is an editorial shortlist, not a numerical performance ranking. Entry, mid-range and premium describe intended positioning; they are not current price bands.
4. Keep AI in a drafting role
AI can help locate sources and turn evidence into a structured draft. It can also misidentify a variant, invent a link or misunderstand a source. A named editor must check material claims, the retailer destination and the final recommendation before publication.
5. Publish only after an editorial check
A published guide carries a reviewer and review date. Each product has separate fact-check and retailer-check fields. A date means the editor recorded a check, not that a product was physically tested. Preview drafts have not completed this process and are marked accordingly.
6. Keep recommendations current
The site flags a published guide when it passes its configured 180-day review interval. An editor must actively recheck the guide; rebuilding the website does not reset review dates. Earlier-generation products need particular attention to remaining support and genuine stock.
What we do not manufacture
No invented test scores, star ratings, customer testimonials, hands-on experiences, live prices, stock claims or fake authors are used. Generic illustrations are not images of the specific products.
Commercial independence
Affiliate remuneration should not determine inclusion or ordering. Product links are marked where applicable. We do not sell placement in the shortlist through the website.
